Exceeds my expectations

I’ve only had my chip in for a week so it’s too soon to say much about fuel savings but I can tell you that as far as power goes this is the bee’s knees.
After a very simple installation I took the Navara out for a run. As recommended in the manual, I left the jumper on the median setting and cruised around he rural roads. I was pretty sure it felt less sluggish but thought maybe it was wishful thinking.
The next day I needed to take a longer trip which included some reasonable hills. I decided to move the setting up to produce more power, one setting down from the top.
This time there was no doubt at all. Normally my fifth gear tends not to get a lot of work because of the windy roads I travel on; if I back off to take a curve the engine doesn’t have enough power to accelerate again without shifting down. Not anymore. And on longer straights I felt like I could have used a sixth gear.
The biggest surprise was when I hit the big hill; not only was I able to go up in fifth gear, I was able to accelerate. I actually overtook someone going uphill in fifth gear. Anyone with a 2.5 Navara knows how unlikely that is.
For the trip home I took the setting back to the median setting just to check out the difference. Going up a similar hill I was able to sit on a 100kph in fifth gear, but not accelerate. But I have never been able to do that pre chip.
I’ll probably leave the upper settings for when I’m towing as it seemed like overkill to have that much power. I’m hoping the median setting will help with fuel economy.
Very happy with the results I’ve received. Highly recommend this product if you’re sick of the lack of power these Navaras have on factory settings.

What I found

The purchase experience was soured by an unexpected $18 postage bill. Having said that the Chip arrived the next day.
Installation notes had to be printed up from a PDF and were general in nature but OK.
I waited a couple of days to test the product prior to writing this to see how it worked.
Fitted to my 200 series I am getting noticeable
improvement in acceleration (when required) and approx. 3 lt/100 km fuel saving when traveling around town. Have not done a country trip or towed yet.

April 2008 3.0 Deisel

Lets keep this short and sweet
Engine has 300,000 kms on the clock
Setting 6
Settings above this produce a cloud of white smoke.
The torque improvement is truly noticable and the extra power is a bonus
Fuel economy Before chip got 515kms out of a tank
After chip 640kms out of a tank
runs smooth starts within two seconds and no noticable temputure increass
Cab Chasis is a lot nicer to drive now and the pick up from 40 to 110km is quicker than my 3.0 petrol Subaru Outback

Nissan Navara NP 300

I purchased the standard unit for my NP300 last Friday and due to previously installing one on my ZD30 Patrol I was very eager to evaluate the potential performance benefits. I state that after testing the unit out over the next few days following installation and 1200 kms, that this particular unit works extremely well. Absolutely no turbo lag of black smoke. I'm currently running it on the power #6 setting and report that combined fuel consumption before the chip install was approx. 9.8L/100, and now can report as good as 8.1L/100 with both a city/freeway cycle of use.
The rate of acceleration has been vastly improved and and climbing one of my favourite steep hills in the Southern Highlands of NSW has seen an increase from 105kms/hr to 140kms/hr at the rise.
Well done Chip My Diesel!
Keep up the fantastic work.
Love you Guys!
